Germany’s Greens party official says no progress yet in talks on debt plans

She’s saying that they have not made any progress in talks with the Conservatives on the spending/debt plans. Well, official negotiations and discussions will only begin today. And realistically for the optics, there shouldn’t be a quick and easy deal/agreement. If there is one, it will be at the last minute right before the scheduled vote on 18 March.

The euro remains calm for now, with EUR/USD down 0.1% to 1.0870 currently with the dollar keeping steadier on the day.
