Canada – Carney and Trump are expected to speak on Friday

Canadian Prime minister Carney says Donald Trump reached out on Wednesday to schedule a call between the two.

The talk is that the call will take place on Friday.

Carney said on Thursday:

• “The old relationship we had with the United States based on deepening integration of our economies and tight security and military cooperation is over.”

Carney says he is looking to negotiate.
